NORTH PATCHOGUE - On the eve of the one-year anniversary since a North Patchogue mom went missing and was later found murdered, her family is asking for the public's help in finding her killer.Police say 31-year-old Nicole Tessa, a mother of four, disappeared Dec. 17, 2010, after she and her husband, Joseph Jones, had a fight over drugs. Tessa's body was found in a patch of woods on Prince Street one day after her husband appealed for her safe return on News 12 Long Island.Detectives brought Jones in for questioning, but have not named him as a suspect. Jones is currently serving an eight-month sentence for petty larceny.Tessa's family says an autopsy report revealed she died of blunt-force trauma to the head and torso, and compressions to the neck.Tessa's relatives are hoping the public can help solve this cold case. They're offering a $1,000 reward on top of Crime Stoppers' $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
