UNIONDALE - Andrea Rebello, the Hofstra junior killed overnight following a home invasion, is being remembered as having a personality that could light up the entire campus.

“She was such a little girl and had this personality that was like five times her size,” says Ariana Patras, who met Rebello as a freshman.

Rebello was shot and killed as police responded to an armed robbery at her off-campus home. Authorities will not say if she was killed by the suspect or if she was accidentally shot by police.

“It’s really sad, she’s a really sweet girl,” another student told News 12 Long Island. “She doesn’t deserve this.”
