WOODBURY - The sister of the man who admitted to killing Etan Patz says she told police decades ago that her brother admitted to the boy's murder.

Pedro Hernandez's sister says she went to New Jersey police in the 1980s to report a rumor her brother had confessed to the murder at a prayer group.

She claims that she was never brought in to talk to police.

Last week, Pedro Hernandez confessed to the 1979 murder of the 6-year-old boy in Manhattan.

Hernandez is undergoing psychiatric evaluation after his surprise confession.
