SHOREHAM - Teens in Shoreham received an education in distracted and drunken driving today.

Shoreham-Wading River High School hosted a program on texting and drunken driving as part of the “Arrive Alive” tour.

During the program, students used a high-tech simulator to recreate the conditions of a distracted driver. Many said they were convinced of the dangers.

Experts say drivers under the age of 20 have the highest number of fatal car accidents caused by distracted driving.
