SHIRLEY - A Shirley man is now facing a slew of animal cruelty charges for allegedly keeping nearly 100 animals in his home.

On Tuesday, Suffolk SPCA officials say they rescued goats, cats, dogs, and even a baby bull from the home that Alan Warner has been sharing with an elderly woman. Dead animals were also found in the basement of the Shirley residence, officials say.

Warner now faces 61 counts of animal cruelty. The 87-year-old woman who owns the home was not charged in the case.
