STONY BROOK - The East Setauket doctor who was found alive in Caleb Smith State Park after going missing during a Labor Day fly fishing trip was reunited today with the police officers who saved him.Dr. Jerome Nadler and his family today thanked the Suffolk officers who rescued Nadler after he went missing in Smithtown. About 72 hours after Nadler went missing, a Suffolk K-9 named Chase picked up the scent of the missing 76-year-old while searching the park. Police say Chase stayed by Nadler's side until help arrived. Doctors say Nadler's waders, which are used in fly-fishing, may have kept him from succumbing to exposure.Meanwhile, the Suffolk SPCA will name Chase "Canine of the Year" at a ceremony tomorrow in Coram for his rescue efforts.Sources: Missing East Setauket doctor found aliveEast Setauket doctor missing after Labor Day fishing trip
