Sen. Schumer: Disaster aid to help elevate LI homes
Sen. Schumer announced today that disaster aid will help elevate Long Island homes that were flooded by Sandy. (February 20, 2013)
WOODBURY - Sen. Charles Schumer announced today that disaster aid will help elevate Long Island homes in order to protect homeowners from another storm with the severity of Sandy.
Elevating a home can be very helpful, however it is also expensive for homeowners.
According to Newsday, Schumer made the comments during a breakfast meeting in Manhattan.
