RIVERHEAD - A Selden man who pleaded guilty to causing a crash that killed two teenagers last year was arraigned today on drug charges.

David Heise pleaded not guilty to promoting prison contraband. The Suffolk Sheriff's Department says the 29-year-old swallowed a balloon full of drugs before reporting to the Riverhead jail last week.

As News 12 Long Island has reported, a judge yesterday revoked Heise's plea deal in connection with the crash that resulted in the deaths of Eugene Franjola and Stephen Massina, and a separate drug charge.

Heise is now being held without bail. He'll be sentenced for the fatal accident charges in August.Police: Selden man in fatal crash had drugs in jailSelden man accused in fatal crash back in jail on drug charges1 teen killed, 1 critical in Ronkonkoma crash
