SELDEN - A Selden family says they are filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Suffolk police.

According to the family, police were wrong to pull the trigger and shoot their son inside their home. In September, Kevin Callahan, 26, was shot as cops responded to a call about a man with a gun in his Franklin Avenue home. Callahan's parents' attorney says the shooting was "unjustified" because he had no gun and did not attack cops, according to Newsday. Police: Selden standoff ends in man's death
