EAST HAMPTON - What's the deal with these lemonade stands?

An Instagram post by comedian Jerry Seinfeld's wife shows Seinfeld, his son and his friends posing with their hands up after they were ticketed for selling lemonade on a street near their East Hampton home.

It seems a neighbor called village police after complaining that the children did not have a permit, even though they were donating the proceeds to charity.

The post was captioned: Lemonade dreams crushed by local neighbor but not before raising lots of money for @loverecycled. Thanks to all of our customers and big tippers!

News 12 attempted to contact East Hampton Village Police Chief Gerald Larsen Jr., as well as the mayor, regarding the tickets. Both were unavailable.

Requests for comment were also not returned by the Seinfelds or their charity, Baby Buggy.
