GARDEN CITY - The search for a new president at Nassau Community College has been put on hold following angry protests.

During a college meeting Tuesday, many claimed the selection process was biased.

News 12 Long Island has learned there were also calls for the head of the search committee to be removed after accusations trustee Anthony Cornachio sent a racist and sexist email.

Now the Chancellor of SUNY has halted the search for a new president until an investigation can be conducted.
