HICKSVILLE - A Sea Cliff man was arrested for allegedly pepper spraying a man and his family in a road rage incident Tuesday.
Police say a man was in the car with his 14-year-old son and 19-year-old daughter when 58-year-old Robert Labella cut him off at the entrance to the Broadway Mall and followed him to the other side of the mall.
Detectives say that it was in the parking lot of Target that the pepper spray attack took place. They say Labella got out of his car and approached the other driver, who then rolled down his window.

Labella then allegedly used Mace on the other man and his children before driving away.
Investigators say an eyewitness tried to help calm Labella down, but got his wrist slammed in the process.
Labella was later arrested at his home.
Labella was arraigned Wednesday on felony and misdemeanor charges of assault, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a weapon.
Police say Mace is legal in Nassau if it's used in self-defense. It is illegal to use out of aggression.
Labella's lawyer claims he was the victim.
"My client may have accidentally cut people off and they chased him and got out of the vehicle and started attacking him," says defense attorney Marc Gann.
Bail was set at $22,500.
