School security guard dies in Yaphank crash
Police say Daniel Methven was driving on Yaphank-Middle Island Road last night when he hit a telephone pole and was killed. (January 13, 2013)
YAPHANK - A security guard for a Suffolk County school district died in a car crash last night in Yaphank.
Police say 39-year-old Daniel Methven was driving on Yaphank-Middle Island Road just before 9 p.m. last night when he hit a telephone pole and was killed.
Methven worked for Longwood School District Security. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
