WOODBURY - Officials say thousands of Suffolk students will be affected by a looming bus strike.

With no agreement yet between bus drivers and Baumann and Sons Bus Company, the union plans to set a firm strike deadline this week.

The union sites seven major stumbling blocks preventing an agreement, including elimination of all currently earned sick and vacation days.

The union also accused Baumann of denying raises to 95 percent of drivers.
