Officials say Frederick Flowers was driving drunk when he crashed with kids on board.

MASSAPEQUA PARK - The mini-school bus driver who crashed into a house while driving drunk with children on board will serve a year behind bars.

Newsday says Frederick Flowers, 66, of Massapequa Park, faced a judge today.

Flowers told the judge he was truly sorry for the horror that he caused.

None of the five young children on the bus were hurt in the Syosset crash last October.
