SAG HARBOR - "Scandal" actress Kate Burton was in the Hamptons this weekend to celebrate a night of the theater.
Burton was at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, which was co-founded by her mother, Sybil Christopher, more than two decades ago.
Burton says she has been coming to the East End to vacation for 25 years. Lately, she's keeping busy playing the vice president on "Scandal," alongside Kerry Washington.
"This is the tightest cast I've ever worked with," Burton says. "Kerry Washington is a goddess."
Burton has been nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in the upcoming 66th Emmy Awards. She has previously been nominated for her work on "Grey's Anatomy."
The season premiere of "Scandal" will air on Sept. 24. Burton is also reprising her role as Ellis Grey on "Grey's Anatomy" in the upcoming 11th season.
