LONG BEACH - Many Long Islanders are still rebuilding in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, and some of them are offering tips and advice to those affected by the powerful tornadoes that caused major destruction in Oklahoma last week.

Homeowner, Fran Adelson, says the tornado victims should fight for every dime of insurance money and government aid, even if it becomes a second full-time job.

Luke Hamlet, who runs a beach surf shop, says he spent five months demolishing everything in his store after the storm, and it took help from his family and friends because the he did not get nearly enough compensation from government programs.
