LAKE RONKONKOMA - The Sachem School Board has decided to close two elementary schools and one middle in order to plug a budget hole. 

Parents turned out at a special meeting last night to talk about possible school closings. 

Sachem originally was looking at five options, including the closing of four elementary schools or just two schools. 

The district has now narrowed the choice to shutting down three schools and parents say they are worried. 

The board has not named the two elementary schools and one middle school that will be shut down.
