HUNTINGTON - Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe had to be rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard in the waters off Long Island over the weekend. The actor was kayaking with a friend near Cold Spring Harbor when they lost their way as the sun set. They reached Huntington Bay Beach when they called out to a boat that was on patrol. After they were safely guided back, Crowe took a snapshot with some of the local guardsmen. He also tweeted a "thank you" to the Coast Guard later. Crowe is currently filming a movie called "Noah" in Oyster Bay.
