ROSLYN - A Roslyn couple, worried for the safety of their four children in Israel, are heading there Thursday to join them.

Eytan Behiri and his wife say their four children are spending the summer in Israel with family. Two days into their trip, the intense fighting in Israel and Gaza began.

Behiri says he is constantly texting and Skyping with his children and extended family to make sure they are safe. He also checks his phone app that alerts him about locations of rocket attacks. He asked his children to come home as soon as they could, but he says they told him they want to stay with their family.

Behiri and his wife are flying El-Al Airlines to Israel as the FAA has banned U.S. carriers from flying to Tel Aviv. In the meantime, Secretary of State John Kerry is meeting with Israeli and Palestinian leaders to work out a cease-fire agreement.
