RONKONKOMA - A Ronkonkoma mother is out on bail after being arrested this afternoon for allegedly allowing underage kids to drink alcohol in her home over the weekend.

Michele McKinney, a 44-year-old mother of two teenagers, is accused of allowing the teens to consume alcohol, which led to the hospitalization of a 14-year-old girl.

One neighbor of the homeowner, who didn't want to be identified, said he believes the teens were hanging out in a field behind the Duane Drive home and wonders if McKinney knew what was happening.

McKinney's attorney says that the mother of the hospitalized teen called police and pressed charges, but that cops never came to the party or witnessed anyone drinking.

McKinney has been charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, but is not being charged under Suffolk County's Social Host Law.
