DEER PARK - Two men were killed and a woman and her young son were critically injured after a two-car crash last night in Deer Park.

Police say Robert Fattibene crossed into oncoming traffic on Commack Road and crashed head-on into another car.  Fattibene was killed, as was the driver of the second car, who has been identified as Herver Leonel Garcia Munoz.

Munoz's girlfriend and their 3-year-old son remain hospitalized in critical condition.

Munoz's family says the couple and their son were going out to celebrate Mother's Day when the accident happened. Relatives are remembering Munoz as a hard-working father who looked forward to spending time with his family.

News 12 Long Island's cameras were at the scene today and witnessed another car accident in the same spot, this time involving four cars. No one was injured in today's crash, but neighbors say they've had enough of the dangerous intersection, and they want it to be addressed.

Anyone with more information on yesterday's accident is asked to call police at 631-854-8152.
