RIVERHEAD - A jury has convicted Kalila Taylor, of Riverhead, on second-degree murder charges for killing her high school classmate back in 1996. Taylor was first convicted in 1999, but a judge later ordered a retrial because jurors had been given improper instructions. The body of Taylor's victim, Curtisha Morning, was found riddled with stab wounds near Riverhead High School.
