RIVERHEAD - Road crews are already working to keep the streets clear before the major storm hits.

News 12 Long Island’s Drew Scott is in Riverhead where residents are worried about serious flooding post-Sandy. 

Meterologists have predicted heavier snow on the North Shore of Long Island rather than the the South Shore. 

Riverhead Town Highway Department Superintendent George Woodson said they are playing the storm by ear, but are urging residents to stay off the roads so crews can do thei jobs.
