BELLMORE - Police say a Rite Aid clerk turned the tables last night on a would-be robber with a knife.

Authorities say the suspect walked into the Newbridge Road Rite Aid in North Bellmore, flashed a knife and demanded cash from the 56-year-old clerk.

The clerk refused and chased the man out of the store and through the parking lot, until the suspect got away.
