Reward offered to find person responsible for Suffolk wildfires

A reward is being offered for information about the person or people who may be responsible for starting this spring's massive wildfires in Suffolk County.

MANORVILLE - A reward is being offered for information about the person or people who may be responsible for starting this spring's massive wildfires in Suffolk County. Flames engulfed three homes in April when fire spread across 1,100 acres of Manorville and Ridge.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward, the Suffolk County Arson Task Force is offering a second reward of up to $5,000.

The wildfire started on the north side of the Brookhaven Lab property and spread quickly. More than 100 Long Island fire departments were involved.
