ISLANDIA - Police are offering a reward for information on who stole a medallion from a veterans monument in Islandia. 

According to police, a Marine Corps medallion was pried off of the New War Veterans Memorial monument located at the corner of Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue on Jan. 15 at 11 p.m. 

The medallion is described as 24 inches round, made of aluminum alloy and has the Marine Corps emblem engraved on it.
  
A reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. 

Anyone with information is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS
