PORT WASHINGTON - A worker at a Port Washington retirement home is accused of trying to steal $10,000 from a senior she was supposed to help care for.
Officials say Stephanie Benodin worked at the Tuttle Center in Port Washington.
The state attorney general says the Queens woman stole a check from an 88-year-old woman in her care.
Investigators say when Benodin tried to deposit the check, it bounced.
Benodin faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
