Residents waiting for snowplows 2 days after storm

FLORAL PARK - Residents in several Long Island communities say they're still waiting for their streets to be cleared two days after the latest snowstorm.

Floral Park residents say they're having trouble driving through their neighborhoods due to a thick layer of snow and ice. On Roquette Avenue, a local school bus got stuck this morning, leaving some students out in the cold and unable to get to school.

Residents in East Meadow and Franklin Square are reporting similar situations. Many say they're angry their streets haven't been cleaned after all the property taxes they pay.

A spokesperson for the Town of Hempstead says plows have already covered 1,200 miles of road, but that if residents have a concern about a specific street, they should notify the town.
