WANTAGH - A group of Wantagh residents are livid over plans to open a strip club near their homes.

The Town of Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals has approved an application for the owners of Billy Deans to open a business in Wantagh. The Hempstead board restricted Billy Deans from having any nudity at the location.

Residents say board members have also told them it won't be a strip club, just a cabaret-style restaurant, but they have not been swayed.

"I moved from Brooklyn two years ago to have a better life for my children and now they're opening a strip club down the block," says Jodie Lembo. "I should have stayed in Brooklyn."
