DOVER, N.H. - The next presidential election is three years away, but a Long Island politician's name has been dropped as a potential candidate.

News 12 Long Island's Doug Geed traveled with Rep. Peter King, a Republican from Seaford, on a recent out-of-state trip where he is exploring a possible White House run.

King traveled to New Hampshire, a state where presidential campaigns are often launched and sometimes derailed. While there, King took jabs at the Obama administration but stopped short of confirming his own presidential run.

The congressman was well-received in New Hampshire, but reaction was mixed as to whether he would have a real shot at the presidency.

King is serving his 11th term in Congress. His district covers the south shore of eastern Nassau and western Suffolk.
