AMAGANSETT - The Town of East Hampton Board has approved a partial ban of alcohol at Indian Wells Beach, Newsday reports.

The ban will take place on weekends and holidays during the time lifeguards are on-duty.

As News 12 has reported, neighbors of the beach have complained of rowdy behavior and public urination at the beach.

The booze ban is expected to take effect in August. According to Newsday, the ban will take effect when the law is certified by the state secretary of state's office.
