WOODBURY - A report from the Nassau County Office of Budget Review says a new Nassau Coliseum would cost taxpayers more than originally announced.

The report says the average Nassau County homeowner would pay $58.39 a year to build a new arena for the New York Islanders and an adjacent minor league baseball park.

County Executive Ed Mangano (R-Nassau) says the project will eventually pay for itself and even help lower property taxes because the county will share in profits from the new arena.
