AMITYVILLE - ? The state has cleared an Amityville funeral home of violations after a woman said she found trash in her father?s ashes.

Jenny Spooner, of Amityville, says she found fragments of metal, teeth and bone in her dad?s ashes last year. Spooner planned to sue Slinger-Hasgill Funeral Services and Long Island Cremation.

According to Newsday, a state report blames an inexperienced worker for the tainted remains.

The report found no violations and issued no fines.
