Report: 2 girls approached in Deer Park S.D.

On Thursday, students from Robert Frost Middle School were approached. (February 18, 2013)

DEER PARK - The Deer Park School District is warning parents today after reports that two girls were approached by strangers in cars.

On Thursday, a girl who goes to Robert Frost Middle School says a car started following her on Washington Avenue near Hickory Street. When the girl's mother noticed the maroon or red car with tinted windows, the driver sped away.

On Friday, police say two men in a black sedan followed another Robert Frost student. That incident happened near the Sunburst Drive and Headline Road bus stop. Officials say the men sped off when she started running toward other children.

The school district says this is a good reminder to talk to your children about the dangers of talking to strangers in cars.
