PORT WASHINGTON - An official identification has been made in the deadly Port Washington garage explosion.

Police confirm the remains found in a detached garage on Prospect Avenue are that of  48-year-old Michael MacNeil.

The explosion happened earlier this month after police were called for a domestic incident.

MacNeil's estranged wife and their 2-year-old daughter escaped unharmed.

Officials believe the explosion was intentionally set.

MacNeil's Facebook page had a post that mentioned "going out with a bang" and showed gallons of gas and propane.
