WOODBURY - Registered Republicans will be able to vote for their candidate to run for the U.S. Senate.

New York's U.S. Senate Republican primary puts Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos against Manhattan attorney Wendy Long and Congressman Bob Turner.

The winner will take on Democratic incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in November.

Voter turnout is expected to be lower than usual because today's primary was moved up from September.
