SYOSSET - More than 80 people with disabilities took part in the fourth annual Regional Adaptive Games at Mercy First School in Syosset.

Most of the athletes who participated in the events were from Long Island.

“It's a great way for our athletes, who are our registrants, to enjoy the day, to increase their self-esteem and their athletic abilities,” said Jackie Zambito, a recreational therapist.

Athletes participated in various sports including volleyball, bowling and basketball.
