Raymond Roth, of Massapequa, to be sentenced for faking his own drowning at Jones Beach

Earlier this month, Roth pleaded guilty to faking his own death in a scheme to collect his own life insurance money.

Raymond Roth, the man who faked his own death at Jones Beach, found guilty of four charges in a separate case. Roth was found guilty of attempted burglary, attempted unlawful imprisonment charges, and two counts of criminal impersonation.

MASSAPEQUA - The Massapequa dad who faked his own drowning at Jones Beach will be sentenced today.

Raymond Roth faces up to eight years in prison in two separate cases. Earlier this month, Roth pleaded guilty to faking his own death in a scheme to collect his own life insurance money.

Roth was also convicted of impersonating a police officer and attempted burglary.
