Rangers, Capitals meet in Game 7 at MSG

Play it again, Henrik. The New York Rangers will be playing their third consecutive elimination game in their second round series against the Washington Capitals.

NEW YORK - Play it again, Henrik.

The New York Rangers will be playing their third consecutive elimination game in their second round series against the Washington Capitals. They forced a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden after being down in the series 3-1.

The Rangers have proven to be a tough team to eliminate in recent years, with five consecutive Game 7 victories over the past three seasons. They are also 13-3 in their past 16 elimination games.

New York has also never lost a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden.

Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin added some extra flames to the fiery series by guaranteeing a Washington victory.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
