HAUPPAUGE - Protesters rallying in Hauppauge today had one message for Gov. Andrew Cuomo: Don't cut funding for our schools.

Parents and students were joined by educators demanding more state aid for public schools beyond the $800 million proposed by Cuomo for the 2012-2013 school year.

In addition to the rally, a Facebook page has been set up called "Save Long Island Schools," which already has 5,000 followers. Parents and students are hoping their efforts will send a clear message to Albany.
