WOODBURY - A public LIPA hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, held by the governor's new Moreland Commission.

The commission is investigating the utility's preparedness and response to Sandy.

The meeting will take place at SUNY Old Westbury at 6 p.m.

Newsday reports that Suffolk officials are among those angry over LIPA's order that inspectors had to visit all water-damaged homes before they could restore power.

The elected officials contend that liability concerns were a higher priority for the utility rather than turning the power on.
