GREAT NECK - PSEG Long Island says it will reschedule planned work in Great Neck amid complaints from residents who were concerned their power would be shut off ahead of the Passover holiday.

Residents near Allenwood and Plymouth roads received notes on their doors this week saying that the utility planned to shut off power on Monday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for work in the area.

Neighbors were concerned that their stoves and refrigerators would be shut off as they worked to prepare for the first seder. Some neighbors say they called the utility to complain.

A PSEG Long Island spokesperson told News 12 Long Island on Saturday that the power will not be shut off on Monday. The work will be rescheduled for another day when it's more convenient for the community.
