With the ice and snow on the way, many Long Islanders are concerned about keeping their power on.

The wet, heavy snow can bring down tree limbs and power lines.  Officials say Monday’s storm knocked out power to about 1,600 customers.

PSEG Long Island says it is now turning its attention to Wednesday’s ice and snow by putting extra crews on standby.
