WOODBURY - Excitement is in the air for one Smithtown teen, after a professional wrestler gives him praise.

Daniel Wafer has low-spectrum autism. His parents say he grew up loving wrestling. And although he some learning disabilities, legendary pro-wrestler Mick Foley says he's never met a wrestler like Daniel.

Foley has wrestled in 49 out of 50 states and in 37 different countries. Even still, he says watching Daniel was the most unique situation he could recall. "When you've been around wrestling for as long as I have, you usually say you know within 10 to 15 seconds whether somebody's got it or not, the big IT."

Daniel trains twice a week and recently wrestled at a live event. He says leaves training sessions feeling good about himself.
