MANHATTAN - The Centereach man who admitted to unwittingly funding a botched plot to bomb Times Square was sentenced to three years probation today.Mohammad Younis, 45, admitted to transferring $7,000 to Faisal Shahzad, the man who used those funds to set off a failed car bomb in Times Square last year.Younis testified that he didn't know what the money was for, and prosecutors agreed. However, they say Younis was illegally operating an unlicensed money transfer business, which is a federal offense that carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.After today's sentencing, Younis says he was satisfied with the outcome.
