STATEN ISLAND - While thousands are still without power, heat and homes, President Obama came to the area today to tour some of the areas hardest hit by Superstorm Sandy.

The president got a firsthand look at the devastation, first by air, with a helicopter tour of the Rockaways and fire-ravaged Breezy Point. Obama then met with people who lost their homes when Sandy's storm surge flooded Staten Island.

The president vowed the federal government would continue to help until areas devastated by Sandy are rebuilt.
