RIVERHEAD - The power is back on in Riverhead.

Chopper 12 was overhead Friday afternoon as traffic backed up on Peconic Ave between routes 24 and 25.

The power went out just before noon and was restored around 8 p.m. after PSEG installed temporary generators.

About 137 customers were affected.

It's unclear what caused the outage.
