Post-Sandy Lawrence school plan upsets parents

Lawrence High School will be closed for at least two months while electrical repairs are made. (1/16/13)

LAWRENCE - Lawrence parents were upset tonight at an emergency meeting held over the fate of Lawrence High School.

The school was recently repaired after water damage from Hurricane Sandy, but a recent inspection showed issues that put the building’s electrical system at risk.

Officials have decided to close the school for two months while repairs are made, transferring more than 600 students to Lawrence Middle School in the mean time.
