PORT JEFFERSON - The 12th annual Hounds on the Sounds event was held today in Port Jefferson to raise funds for orphaned animals.

The 3K dog walk teamed walkers with pups and was organized by Save-A-Pet, the no-kill animal shelter in Port Jefferson Station that houses animals until they are adopted.

Organizers say they hope to raise about $10,000, which will go toward rescued animals that may need medical attention.
